Wahoo Church Celebrates and Honors First Responders

Posted on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 1:45 am

The National First Responders Organization defines a First Responder as any individual who runs toward an event rather than away. Each year Wahoo Church believes it is important that we honor these brave men and women in memory of 9/11/2001 and all days after that. We invite all First Responders, your families and co-workers to attend Wahoo Church on September 10th so that we may honor you, pray for you, give you a small token of appreciation, and then do what we Baptists do best – Feed You!!!
Service on Sunday, September 10th from 10:45 a.m. until 12 noon; special pews have been reserved for you. Fire Chief Leland Greek will speak and John Steed will be performing. And this year, it’s inside so there will be no chance for heat stroke. Then our legendary Baptist Buffet at noon.
Every day there are many brave souls who always have our backs. Whether it be firefighters, law enforcement, dispatchers, military, emergency medical technicians, workers who get the power going again after hurricanes, etc., etc. Come visit with us even if just for this day. And we ask everyone to pray for all those hurting people in Texas and for the safety of their First Responders.
Wahoo is located at 4517 Cr 319, Bushnell, just off CR48, 4.5 miles west of I-75. 352-793-6015.
