It’s the time of the year for Christmas carols, manger displays, and stories of the birth of Christ. Some of these “traditions” are not quite correct. Let’s explore that. Mary gave birth to Christ the night they arrived in Bethlehem? No. The First Noel sings that Jesus was born on a cold winter’s night – No. There was no innkeeper mentioned and it wasn’t an inn anyway. Why are these things wrong? They are not scriptural, and the Word of God is always true.
