Free Low Vision Workshop
Friday, July 29, 2011
Close your eyes. Now imagine going about your daily life - blind. How do you get your toothpaste on the toothbrush? How do you pour a cup of coffee without burning yourself or spilling it everywhere? How do you make sure your clothes match? How do you get to the grocery store or church if you can't drive?
Join Mid-Florida Eye Center and New Vision for Independence for a free low vision workshop. This one-hour event will discuss services and resources available to those with vision loss. This event is free and open to the public. Snacks will be provided.
The one-hour workshop discussing resources available for people of all ages with low vision or blindness in Lake and Sumter Counties and The Villages will be held Friday, August 12, 1 to 2 p.m. at Mid-Florida Eye Center, 600 North 14th St. (US Hwy 27), Leesburg, FL. RSVP: To Mandy Richardson, 352-735-3491, by August 10th.
