3rd Annual Sumter's Sweetheart Online Contest

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County is happy to announce that the 3rd "Sumter's Sweetheart" Online Pet Photo Contest has officially begun January 10th through February 13th, 2012 with the winner being announced on Valentine's Day, February 14th. If you have the most wonderful funny loving coolest sweetest best pet there ever was, then it's time for the world to know it!

Post your pet's photo (online only) at the HS/SPCA's website contest link, www.hsspca.org/photocontest.asp, then spread the word to all your friends and family to send in their online votes. Entries are only $5/photo and votes are only $1 each. Event Coordinator Claudia Labbe' pointed out "due to the popularity of the past two Sumter's Sweetheart contests, this year we have over $900 in prizes. Support from local businesses donating prizes and their great variety will surely interest everyone in the community." The highest vote-getter will be crowned "Sumter's Sweetheart" with their pet's photo on the HS/SPCA's website front page through February while all three vote-getters will be on the Society's website and Facebook page along with coverage from local media.

The revenue received from the online contest will be applied towards needs such as pet food, medical care and on-going animal cruelty investigations.
