Posted on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:15 am

Walmart shoppers will again be able to give from their hearts and help animals in need in Sumter County while doing their pre-Valentine’s shopping. In addition, they may meet the love of their life.

The Villages Walmart Supercenter on Wedgewood Lane on Sat. Feb. 10th and Bushnell Walmart Supercenter on CR 48 on Sun. Feb. 11th will be hosting the 8th Annual Pet Supply Drive/Adoption events from 10am-2pm out in front of their main entrances. Basic needs are:
-CLUMPING Cat Litter
-Bleach & Paper Towels
-DRY Dog/Cat Food (preferably Purina O.N.E. brand)
-Gift Cards (easiest on everyone’s back muscles, less storage issues & items can be purchased in bulk as needed.)

HS/SPCA volunteers and adoptable dogs will distribute their current “WISH LIST” of basic supplies needed in the daily care of animals at the no-kill shelter. Shoppers can purchase and donate the supplies once they exit the store, stop by and meet some of the many sweethearts ready to find their forever loving families. Maybe you’ll meet the love of your life there?

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill shelter helping animals in need throughout Sumter County, Florida. Donations directly help to cover the cost of saving, treating, and caring for neglected, abused and abandoned animals.
