Summerfest and Father’s Day at Wahoo!

Posted on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 1:47 am

It’s time for Summerfest! June 16, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children Grades 1-5. There will be a waterslide, bounce houses, archery, bird and wildlife shows, face painting, games, and lunch. Bring a bathing suit and a towel! No pre-registration required. Summerfest is free.
Father’s Day is June 17, where we celebrate our fathers. So here is a question. Do you struggle with this holiday? Maybe your father was absent, or not much of a parent. Do you struggle with buying a Father’s Day card because the words inside just aren’t true, so you look for a more generic card? Unfortunately, you are not alone.
But Father’s Day is still a day for you to celebrate. Why? Because you have access to the greatest Father that ever existed, and He will never let you down. He created the universe and purposely chose to create you. You were not an accident. He came to earth and gave His life for you, so He could spend eternity with you, his child. So, come to church, meet your Father and start a relationship that will last far beyond this life.
