July 4th Independence Day for “one nation under God”

Posted on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 1:12 am

Time to celebrate the independence of our country and the soldiers and their families over all the years since, who sacrificed much to keep us free. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless You.
The Pledge of Allegiance didn’t have “one nation under God” in the original wording. Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg address stated “this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” President Eisenhower signed a bill by Congress in 1954 that added the phrase “under God” to the pledge. Part of his speech at the signing “…religious faith in America’s heritage and future…. we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource, in peace or in war.” Be a part of bringing this country back to God.
