Chapter 188 Korean War Veterans Association of South Lake County would like to thank the community for their support of our mission to aid local homeless veterans.
This support allows us to also support the Resource & Recovery for Homeless Veterans Organization. This organization furnishes and operates transitional housing for homeless veterans. They also operate a thrift store to support their program. Both the transitional housing and their store are located in Eustis. Their mission is to help the many homeless veterans who live in camps in the Ocala National Forest in Florida and elsewhere in central Florida.
The Korean War Veterans Chapter 188 is able to support this very worthy cause from donations we receive from our Rose of Sharon Campaign which we hold at local Publix Supermarkets. We would like to thank the South Lake Community and Publix Supermarkets for their continual support of this cause.
We invite all veterans who served in the armed forces of the United States during the Korean War and armistice period to join our chapter and be a part of our mission to aid local homeless veterans.
Our chapter meets at the Lake David City Building in Groveland. For information on joining and meeting times, please contact David Litz, Commander, Chapter 188 Korean War Association, at 352.536.9022.
