Church – A Museum for Saints or a Hospital for Sinners?

Posted on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 1:40 am

What’s been your experience with church? Are you a regular attender? Are you a Christian? Just attending church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than sitting in your garage makes you a car. Are you an “only on the high Christian holidays” attender? Have you had a bad experience attending church? Was the church full of saints you couldn’t measure up to? Were the “members” unfriendly to you? Do you feel like you do not have the proper clothes? Or worse! Did you go to church and were given a “required” piece of clothing because you weren’t dressed properly? Read the Book of James 2:3-5. We dare you.
Church was never meant to be a Museum of Saints. We are people who need God because our lives do not remotely merit sainthood. No one’s life does. Resurrection Sunday is coming up April 21 so consider visiting Wahoo – our “no dress code” applies that day also.
Below is our schedule for the week of April 14; our special Resurrection Sunday information will be in the Sumter Shopper on April 17.
Sunday Morning: 8 a.m. Traditional Service; 9 a.m. Breakfast, 9:30 Small Group Studies & Youth Group, 10:45 Contemporary Service. Childcare 9:30 until noon.
Sunday Night: 5:00 Dinner, 5:30 Special Bible Studies for men and women. Childcare.
Wednesdays – 6:00 p.m. Dinner, 6:30 p.m. Very Interactive Anything-Can-Happen Adult Bible Study, Children’s Church and Youth Group. Childcare.
